Scent-ilating Memories

For some, it is the aroma of newly printed money that gets their jollies going. For others, it could be the spices from last night's dinner that was made for a king. For me, the smell of happiness, albeit artificial, comes from a Glade air freshner.

During the last four years at Fairfield, I've used Glade's "Mountain Berry" air freshner in all of my past living habitats as it has the most refreshing smell that both sexes can enjoy. The women particularly enjoy the scent of the pleasant odor. The men find the smell is delightful since it's not heavy nor strong; it doesn't suffocate the guys who live with me.

We don't have the "guy stench" found in many other male-habitant households.

Parallel to that, smell is the best trigger for memory. This Glade air freshner reminds me of the great memories I've had living on campus. It's the closest thing to discovering a time-warp machine. It's a special feeling that is unique to only myself and my past.

With time running out at school, the feeling of nostalgia is slowly emerging, day-by-day. There's nothing I can do about it so why not just cherish the memories? Thus, I will be leaving the Glade candle, Mountain Berry flavor, burning for the rest of the night as a joyful remembrance of my wonderful life.
