While sifting through pictures from her vacation on the Norwegian Spirit cruise vessel, this photograph taken by Ms. Julie Briggs immediately caught my eye. My initial reaction was, "wow...this looks like something from one of the cruise line's brochures!" The shadows from the strong sun adds emphasis to the basic shapes found in the shot. For example, the shadows highlight the cylindrical shape of the lemon drink, the roundness of the plate, and the rectangular nature of the purse.
